WORKFLOW

How do we deliver on-time results? It's simple - our workflow makes a team of experts responsible for every step of the process.

Big laboratories treat bioanalysis as a production line process. The goal is to put as many samples through a standardized system in the least possible time. Their rationale is that training people to perform one small component in the production process is fast and cheap, and that it's easy to hire and train replacement employees.

Unfortunately, what looks on the surface like greater throughput is undone when it's necessary to track down a problem or resolve an issue. The production line approach to bioanalysis can result in failure rates as high as 25 percent during bad periods, and resolving the problems that inevitably arise can take weeks or months when separate departments don't have effective communication.

At Enthalpy Analytical, we consider bioanalysis far too important to be approached from an assembly line perspective. The quality and reliability of our analytical results depends on smart people who share responsibility for each bioanalytical project.

Here's how it works:

  • Multidisciplinary teams

Enthalpy painstakingly assembles teams of multi-talented experts who take ownership of all phases of the bioanalytical process. The same people work on method development, validation, extraction, analysis, and data workup. Resolving any problems happens quickly and with a high degree of creativity. If there's any seeming drawback to to our model, it's that it takes us longer to hire and train the right people. We consider that a wise investment.

  • Seamless integration between functions

At Enthalpy, sample analysis doesn't get handed from one department to the next. Instead, each project stays with its team from beginning to end. As a result, everyone involved in the process always knows what's going on and can provide useful, timely information at any point during sample processing.

  • Matrix management

Enthalpy's management structure empowers our analysts to perform diverse tasks as needed for each project. Our experts are not confined by a traditional hierarchical reporting structure. Being able to apply needed resources to any project at any time gives Enthalpy versatility, flexibility and scalability that other labs simply cannot match.

  • Your samples aren't treated generically

Enthalpy's teams seek to understand the intention and purpose of every project, and they work closely with our research partners to bring projects in within the required parameters. Your project gets the attention it deserves, rather than being forced through a one-size-fits-all process. And when we say we have never missed a deadline, we mean it.

  • Maximum processing efficiency

Enthalpy's team approach consistently delivers the lowest possible failed run rates. With sample repeat rates well below five percent, we deliver much higher sample processing efficiency than the production line method.

  • Extremely low employee turnover

Enthalpy's people like what they do and where they work. In seven years, employee turnover at Enthalpy has been less than one percent. As a research partner, you can count on dealing with the same team from project to project.
