GC/MS Vapor Intrusion Analyst/PM

The ideal candidate will be experienced in running SUMMA canisters by TO-15 and should be adept at running in SIM mode for vapor intrusion projects. They should be familiar with the Colorado Protocol and/or the New York SVI guidance as well as the TO-15 supplement. Enthalpy performs many other types of analysis. So, we need someone with diverse experience and the ability to identify TICs. Agilent 5973/5975 plus Chemstation experience a plus. BS/BA in Science plus 4 years experience required. (Job #CMD01)

GC/MS Analyst

This job requires a BA or BS in chemistry or related scientific field and one to three years of experience. The successful candidate will be required to analyze both environmental and pharmaceutical samples using various GC/MS techniques. Knowledge of HP GCs and MS and Chemstation products is a plus. HPLC Analyst

This job requires a BA or BS in chemistry or related scientific field and one to three years of experience. The successful candidate will be required to analyze both environmental and pharmaceutical samples using various HPLC techniques. Knowledge of HP 1100 and Chemstation products is a plus. FTIR Analyst

We are looking for a FTIR analyst. Enthalpy performs gas phase extractive FTIR at field locations throughout the continental US. Enthalpy is seeking a candidate with a BS or higher in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics. Some work experience desired.

This position requires 25-40% travel. Travel entails setting up our equipment in the mobile labs owned by our clients. Mobile labs are usually set-up at chemical or manufacturing plants. The purpose of the testing is to determine emissions from smoke stacks.

Training will be supervised by the leading national expert in this technology. Whoever we hire will also be trained in GC.

Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English and be able to lift 60 pounds. Drug screen and background check performed pre-employment. (Job #CMD04)

Gas Chromatography Chemist

We are looking for a GC chemist. Enthalpy’s Chemical Measurement Division performs analysis of air pollution and analytes from other sources. We also perform analysis at field locations throughout the continental US. Enthalpy is seeking a candidate with a BS or higher in Chemical Engineering, or Chemistry. Some work experience desired.

Reporting Assistant Position

We need part-time employees for technical report production. Good Excel and Word skills required with science background a plus. Flexible hours, 15-20 per week, Mon-Fri, pay commensurate with experience and output. We require the ability to work independently, inclination and ability to follow SOPs, strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Sample Custodian

We are looking for a Sample Custodian. The sample custodian receives samples from clients and from air carriers such as Fed-Ex or UPS. Samples must be inventoried and entered into our sample tracking system. The sample custodian also manages the storage, retrieval and archiving of samples in the sample custody area. Enthalpy is seeking a candidate with strong organizational skills. As trite as that sounds, it is very important. We also desire a person with some formal training in chemistry. Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs will be very helpful. Some work experience desired.(Job #CMD07)

Sales Administrative Assistant

Our Chemical Measurement Division is looking for a Sales Administrative Assistant. The Sales Admin will perform a wide variety of tasks designed to make our sales staff more efficient. Tasks will include, but not be limited to: being a liaison between lab and sales staff, creating Order Acknowledgements, travel coordination, assisting report writers, and preparing invoices. Bioanalytical Scientist Position

Enthalpy’s bioanalytical division provides small-molecule LC/MS/MS services for every stage of drug discovery and development. Services range from GLP-compliant analysis for preclinical and large clinical development efforts, to rapid turnaround non-GLP analysis in support of small discovery programs.

Working as a scientist you will provide our sponsors with a single point of contact, handling all technical and commercial aspects of their relationship with Enthalpy from initial quote, through method development, validation, sample analysis, reporting, and final invoice.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and understand the critical requirement that we communicate relevant updates to our sponsor’s in a timely manner. You will be part of cohesive, dynamic team providing direction to sample preparation technicians, analysts and report writers. You will work with other scientists to schedule and monitor resources to ensure results are delivered on time or early. Working in our state-of-the-art facility located in the Research Triangle Park area of North Carolina, we provide our employees with the best available equipment including Applied Biosystems API-5000’s, Hamilton Star liquid handling, Thermo/Watson LIMS, UPLC, and more.

Scientists attend relevant conferences (AAPS, ASMS, ISSX, SOT, Land of Lakes, etc.) to present papers and participate in tradeshow exhibitions. In this role you will also regularly meet with current customers to maintain existing business, and prospective customers to generate new business.

Scientists use critical thinking and experience to develop rugged analytical assays, oversee method validations, and ensure method validations meet current GLP regulations and industry expectations. You will be expected to develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for new activities and update current ones on a regular basis.

This position requires a MS, or Ph.D. degree in a scientific field, and/or relevant experience. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential. Optimal candidates will have a minimum of two years experience in at a CRO or Pharmaceutical Company, experience with Analyst Software, Watson LIMS, and Microsoft Office. Bioanalytical Analyst Position

Enthalpy’s bioanalytical division provides small-molecule LC/MS/MS services for every stage of drug discovery and development. Working as an LC/MS/MS analyst you will be responsible for all aspects of sample analysis from initial preparation through reporting. Duties and responsibilities for this position include: sample preparation prior to analysis using a variety of techniques (protein precipitation, extraction, SPE, etc.); standards and QC preparation; instrument calibration, validation and maintenance; sample analysis including samples potentially containing pathogens; adhering to strict GLP regulations; writing/updating SOPs; compliance with Enthalpy’s Quality Assurance Program, Exposure Control Plan, and employment policies.

Bioanalytical Prep Technician

Enthalpy’s bioanalytical division provides small-molecule LC/MS/MS services for every stage of drug discovery and development. Working as an Bioanalytical Division Prep Technician you will be responsible for preparing bioanalytical samples for analysis by Analysts in the Bioanalytical Division. Duties and responsibilities for this position include:

  • Weighing and homogenizing of tissue samples; centrifuging and transferring of homogenates
  • Preparation of plasma samples
  • Cleaning of laboratory glassware and maintaining general lab cleanliness
  • Project set-up – retrieve and replace samples; print and apply labels
  • Daily balance calibrations
  • Daily pipettor checks and filing of associated paperwork
  • Weekly TurboVap maintenance
  • Assisting senior personnel in maintaining inventory and lab supplies
  • Preparation of mobile phases, buffers, and wash solvents
  • Overhead projects designed to improve efficiency
  • Complying with Enthalpy’s Quality Assurance Program and other policies
  • Complying with Enthalpy’s Exposure Control Plan
  • Other duties as assigned by the Division Director or Associate Director
